“The art of remembering is the art of thinking.”
— William James
I am a master's research student at Mila and Université de Montréal, where I am supervised by Prof. Sarath Chandar and Prof. Ross Goroshin. My current research focus is memory for continually learning LLMs. I also have interests in LLM reasoning and probabilistic inference.
Before coming to Mila, I did my undergrad at the University of Toronto where I studied Computer Science and Statistics. Before coming to Toronto for university, I did most of my schooling in Singapore. I finished my primary school, secondary school, and junior college there, and I also did two years of military service in the Singapore Army. Before I moved to Singapore, I was born and raised in the United Kingdom.

Current Focus
What I am actively thinking about
- How to coordinate different memory systems, and how we can evaluate them
- How probabilistic inference can be used for exploration in LLM reasoning beyond the base model
- Meta-learning and how to model meta-learning optimization problems
